Hi Yohanan. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts and opinons. Just so that my readers do not misunderstand: the continuing Pfizer and Moderna studies speak about efficacy only as it relates to prevention of severe disease. You're right, these vaccines do not protect from infection, only from severe disease outcomes from the infection.

There is no evidence of "gamemanship" in the design or statistical analysis of either study. Many qualified medical professionals and scientists have reviewed the studies personally, as they are posted online for everyone to read and review. Last time I checked, scientists (those with university degrees, such as I have) are experts who, under Rule 703, can provide expert opinion in a court of law.

Are these vaccines perfect? Nope. Were they created under ideal circumstances? Nope, but they were developed and studied with scientific rigor. Will they stop the spread of COVID and stop millions of people from dying? Maybe, maybe not. Right now, it's our best bet.
