My Journey Beyond Myself

Part Thirteen — Taking The Seat of Awareness

When 2024 pulled up to the gate and rang the doorbell, I answered by opening the book “The Untethered Soul” by Michael A. Singer.

Mr. Singer doesn’t waste any time and begins with the not-so-simple task of awakening consciousness. I’m still in chapter one…..yes, still.

In an effort to share my journey, learn about and have faith in myself, I’m sharing my journal entries here. I respect that your life experiences and soul journeys may look very different from mine and ask only that you respect my soul journey as well.

Come to know the one who watches the voice, and you will come to know one of the great mysteries of creation. — Michael A. Singer

Lesson Thirteen: There’s a separation between you and the anger or jealousy. You are the one who’s in there noticing these things. Once you take that seat of consciousness, you can get rid of these personal disturbances. You start by watching. Just be aware that you are aware of what is going on in there. It’s easy. What you’ll notice is that you’re watching a human being’s personality with all its strengths and weaknesses. It’s as though there’s somebody in there with you. You might actually say you have a “roommate.”
