Part Five — watching objectively

When 2024 pulled up to the gate and rang the doorbell, I answered by opening the book “The Untethered Soul” by Michael A. Singer.

Mr. Singer doesn’t waste time and begins with the not-so-simple task of awakening consciousness. I’m still in chapter one.

In an effort to share my journey, learn about and have faith in myself, I’m sharing my journal entries. I respect that your life experiences and soul journeys may look very different from mine and ask only that you respect my soul journey as well.

Come to know the one who watches the voice, and you will come to know one of the great mysteries of creation. — Michael A. Singer

Lesson Five: Watching objectively

Mr. Singer’s prompt: “Write about how your mind reacted — the inner dialog that was triggered. Did you begin rehearsing a conversation with someone? Was fear stimulated? Was there a stab of shame, or anger, or need? Can you see that the mind’s talk is trying to fix the discomfort?”

Here’s how it went:

Enter: old, old lady (OOL) and young woman (YW)

OOL: Okay, let’s just go with the concept that the voice inside us IS NOT us.
